The product pages do not tie the unit price to a thickness, and thinner sheets are normally billed lower, so ask the dealer which thickness a quoted rate applies to. Both lines are boiling water proof, so both are safe choices for kitchens, sink units and bathroom vanities. The gap is in standard, protection and warranty, not in basic water resistance.

Total Cover is what most buyers pay the premium for. If a covered manufacturing defect is confirmed within the first 10 years, CenturyPly says it reimburses the plywood plus laminates or veneers, adhesives, labour and transport. You must register the purchase on the Total Cover portal within 90 days. After year 10, the remaining 20 years cover the plywood only.
What it costs you: at list rates the gap is ₹1,568 per 32-unit sheet. On a kitchen that uses 12 sheets, that is about ₹18,800. One India One Price fixes the list price, not the price you pay. Dealer listings in October 2026 showed Sainik 710 at about ₹94-122 per sq ft in 18-19mm and Club Prime at about ₹128-150, depending on order size and city. - Read the sheet marking. Every plywood sheet sold in India must carry the ISI mark with a CM/L licence number (CM/L followed by 10 digits) and the standard it is made to: IS 303 for MR, BWR and BWP grades, IS 710 for marine, IS 10701 for structural and IS 5509 for fire-retardant plywood. - Verify the licence. Enter the CM/L number in the BIS Care app (Verify Licence Details) or on the BIS website. The licence holder should match the brand or its contract maker, and the standard should match the grade on your quote. See how to check the ISI mark on plywood.
- Get it on the invoice. Ask for a GST invoice that names the series, grade and thickness. A quote that says only "18mm waterproof" cannot be held to anything later.
- Register the warranty. For Club Prime, register on the Total Cover portal within 90 days of purchase, or the comprehensive cover does not apply.
What moved plywood prices in 2026
Resin chemicals drove most of the change this year. Phenol and formaldehyde, the raw materials for BWR and BWP glue, rose sharply in March and April 2026, and the large brands passed it on: CenturyPly raised plywood prices by about 7% in April and Greenply by about 4-5%. MDF makers announced increases of around 15% from April, but most of those were rolled back by August. GST on plywood stays at 18%, unchanged by the September 2025 rate changes.
